Cash 4 U - Volunteering Wales Grant
Volunteering by young people is encouraged and supported through Welsh Government's Volunteering Wales Grant scheme and a percentage of the funding available has been ring-fenced to support projects that exclusively recruit young volunteers aged 14 - 25 (This ring-fenced money makes up our Cash 4 U funding pot in Gwent)

Cash 4 U grants are available of up to £2500 per project in the GAVO footprint (Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Monmouthshire & Newport), however larger requested amounts may be considered if the project is Gwent-wide.
We are particularly interested in receiving applications with a focus on any of the six priority areas, identified by Welsh Government, which have the potential to make the greatest contribution to long-term prosperity and wellbeing:

Early Years (0-7 year olds)
Supporting children to lead healthy, prosperous & fulfilling lives
Housing
Improving living conditions & tackling homelessness
Social CARE
Helping to build strong communities & for people to live independently for longer

Mental Health
Improving the awareness of mental health conditions or improving the help that people with mental health conditions receive
Skills & Employability

Decarbonisation (Environmental activities)
Taking action on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, preparing for climate changes & communicating the issues
