Coproducing the Next Steps for Advocacy in Gwent Events - Book your places now!

Two half day events:

North Gwent: General Office, Ebbw Vale - 13 March 2018

South Gwent: Rodney Parade, Newport - 15 March 2018

Purpose of the events To bring together citizens, service recipients, carers, service providers, social services and health commissioners, and anyone with an interest in co-producing an integrated approach to commissioning advocacy services across the Gwent local authorities and Aneurin Bevan Health Board. Organisers / facilitators Golden Thread Advocacy Programme, Co-production Network for Wales, GAVO, TVA. Funded by Greater Gwent Health, Social Care & Well-being Partnership. The Golden Thread Advocacy Programme (GTAP) is funded by Welsh Government and led by Age Cymru to support implementation of the Part 10 Code of Practice under the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act. This places a new requirement on local authorities and health boards to arrange provision of Independent Professional Advocacy for people in certain circumstances. In Gwent GTAP is supporting development of a new regional strategy for all forms of advocacy. These workshops are designed to help identify the key issues for the strategy to address, and to consider how advocacy can be co-produced by citizens, providers and commissioners. Booking information There is no cost for attendance. The same programme will run at both events, starting with brunch at 9.30am and ending by 1pm. Places are limited and will be allocated in the order in which they are placed – early booking recommended. Please book one ticket per person at one event only. You will be contacted a few days before the event to confirm that you are still able to attend. There will be a reserve list if all available tickets are booked.
