Safeguarding
"Safeguarding is everyone's business"
The welfare of children and adults is of paramount importance to GAVO and we aim to provide support and guidance to staff and to any voluntary organisation that has contact or works with children, young people and/ or vulnerable adults.
We do this through the work of the GAVO Safeguarding Action Group which draws on the following legisation, policy and guidance:

-
All Wales Child Protection Procedures, 2008
-
Wales Policy and Procedures for the Protection of Vulnerable Adults from Abuse
We also provide:
-
Representation at the South East Wales Safeguarding Children’s Board (SEWSCB) and Gwent Wide Adult Safeguarding Board (GWASB)
-
