Education Programmes for Patients (EPP)
EPP Cymru provides a range of award winning self-management health and well-being courses and workshops for people living with a health condition or for those who care for someone with a health condition.
Pre-COVID-19, we delivered free six-week courses via face-to-face group sessions in community venues across Gwent. In order to continue to provide these courses during the pandemic, we have developed sessions that can be run virtually via Zoom.
We will be delivering the following virtual wellbeing courses each month:
Living with Chronic Pain - 1.5 hour sessions over 6 weeks
Living with Long Term Health Conditions - 1.5 hour sessions over 6 weeks
Living Well with Diabetes - 1.5 hour sessions over 6 weeks
Cancer 'Thriving & Surviving' - 1.5 hour sessions over 6 weeks
Stance Diabetic Footcare - a single 1.5 hour session
Introduction to Self-Management - a single 1.5 hour session
NEW Long COVID Management -1.5 hour sessions over 6 week
NEW Long COVID Support - 1 hour 15 minutes session x2
For a full list of our current courses, please take a look at our course schedule.
Each six-week course is accompanied by an introductory session that gives an overview of Zoom & its functions, and also introduces the participants to the Tutors & the course they will be attending.
NB: You will need to be 17yrs+ to attend our courses.
If you are interested in signing up for a virtual wellbeing course, please complete a Self Referral Form by clicking here.

EPP Cymru courses are about helping you to live your life to the fullest with your condition, not about making you an expert in the specific condition you have.
All of the people who are involved with EPP Cymru, the Staff and the Volunteer Tutors, have personal experience of either living with a health condition or caring for someone with a health condition.
A number of people who attend an EPP Cymru course go on to train as Volunteer Tutors to help deliver the programme locally.
