GAVO are, once again, proud to offer community and voluntary organisations in Caerphilly and Blaenau Gwent up to £2,000 from the 'Cash 4 U' Grant, supported by the WCVA.
This is a youth-led grant which aims to encourage young people into volunteering opportunities and improve community services.
In order to be eligible, you will need to have an existing volunteer between the age of 14-25. Each project will need to have a lead member over the age of 18 OR be supported by an adult that is part of an organisation. Where organisations are funded, they should:
• be legally constituted with a governing document that is signed and adopted; (the objectives of the project must fit with the constitution)
• be independent of government and private sector
• have a bank account, in the name of the organisation, which requires at least two signatures
Where a lead young person is identified that is not connected with an organisation, GAVO (or another selected constituted organisation) may act as the supporting organisation and pay invoices directly for the funded project.
