The Blaenau Gwent Awards - Llanhilleth Miners Institute - 28th September 2023.
After taking some time to reflect on the wonderful night that was the Blaenau Gwent Volunteer Awards 2023, the team at BG are all the more impressed and inspired by the tireless efforts of the volunteers celebrated on the night.
It was amazing to hear the often untold stories of the volunteer work that takes place across Blaenau Gwent. From litter picking and gardening, to patient transport and food pantries - our communities simply would not function as they do without our volunteers.
Andrea Withers from United Welsh said "Thank you so much for the wonderful evening that our fabulous volunteers and myself had at the GAVO Awards, it was such a lovely night. We all enjoyed it so much, so a big thank you to you and all the other staff who work so hard to make the night so enjoyable. We met some lovely volunteers on our table who also really enjoyed it too"
Our Sports winner Callan Orr expressed "Never in a million years did I ever expect to be nominated let alone win an award for coaching football"
