An elderly man wearing dark glasses sits on a couch beside a woman in a green cardigan, who is smiling at him.

The drop-in networking session is bringing together people who work with the sensory loss community, to provide an opportunity to make new connections, promote any services or projects you and your team might have on, and to chat with our team of dual sensory loss specialists.

Deafblind UK are keen to share expert advice on the unique challenges of dual sensory loss and on how to provide the best possible support to those living with, or supporting someone with, dual sensory loss. Deafblind uk can provide unique insight into assistive technology and best practice advice, to support our communities in delivering more inclusive services.

The event will take place on the 24th February at the Mercure Hotel, Upper Dock Street, NP20 1DW, from 2pm-4pm.

This is a casual, drop-in style meeting, so feel free to pop in anytime with free light refreshments available.

Also, in the morning of this networking session, an assistive hearing and sight equipment demonstration will take place just for Deafblind members and other individuals experiencing sight or hearing loss (those with dual and single sensory impairment are welcome). This will be held in the same location, from 10am-12pm. This part of the event is BSL friendly, as interpreters will be there.

Deafblind UK are happy to pay for the travel costs to support sight or hearing-impaired individuals in attending this demonstration. To find out more about this offer and any part of the event please contact
