The Direct Food Support Fund small grants programme is a Welsh Government funded programme to enable local authorities to support an increased number of people facing food poverty. By strengthening existing community food initiatives across each authority, including a focus on activity that helps to address the root causes of food poverty.
Third sector organisations and community groups who provide food support in the City of Newport are invited to apply for funding of between £1000 and £3000.
Funding must be spent by the end of March 2027. Application forms are below to download which also include the guidance in each document. This grant is a Newport City Council grant scheme so please submit applications to Alun Prescott alun.prescott@newport.gov.uk
