Why Attend?
Climate change is already shaping the way we live, work, and plan for the future. The Climate Resilience Communities Workshop is your chance to influence how Gwent responds to these challenges.
This in-person workshop will:
Sense-check emerging findings from the Gwent Climate Change Risk Assessment (CCRA).
Gather evidence on community perceptions of combined and cumulative risks.
Identify priorities for climate adaptation across Gwent.
Your input will help ensure that local services and communities are prepared for the impacts of climate change—moving from reactive responses to proactive planning.
About the Gwent Climate Change Risk Assessment
The CCRA is a region-wide initiative led by the Gwent Public Service Board (PSB). It aims to understand how climate risks—such as extreme weather, flooding, and heatwaves—could affect:
Infrastructure and utilities
Health and wellbeing
Nature recovery
Local businesses and the economy
Diverse communities across Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Newport, Monmouthshire, and Torfaen
By attending, you’ll gain insight into these risks and help shape strategies that strengthen resilience for years to come.
Who Should Attend?
Community leaders
Local organisations
Public service representatives
Anyone passionate about building climate resilience in Gwent
If you can’t attend, feel free to forward this to a colleague who can contribute.
Be part of the conversation. Influence decisions. Help Gwent prepare for a changing climate.
