The GAVO Caerphilly staff team engaged in a staff Volunteering Day at Aber Valley National Memorial Gardens (Above) in the morning and an afternoon at Van Community Allotments. All enjoyed the outdoors, fresh air and giving back locally through the maintenance of these gardens.

GAVO Caerphilly Volunteering look forward to welcoming this years applications from our large borough area. Young people help to make these funding decisions that shape the future of youth provision in the Caerphilly area, as they form the decision panel. We utilise young people who last year applied for the funding, as they have first hand experience around this area (Scan the QR Code below for more information and an Application Form).

On June 5th Blackwood JCP welcomed us, enabling GAVO Volunteering to plan and schedule a Volunteer Provider drop-in event. Caerphilly Youth Offenders, SMART Money Cymru, Age Cymru, Home Start Cymru, Roots2Life Allotment (Ground Work), and Disability CanDo joined us and shared their projects and recruitment processes with those in attendance.

Friday June 6th, Caerphilly Volunteering scheduled a Volunteer Provider event at St Catherines Church, Mill Road, Caerphilly. Here we welcomed Aber Valley Heritage Museum, Barod, Caerphilly Workman’s Hall, Homestart Cymru, Caerphilly Miners Centre, Platfform, SMART Money Cymru, Caerphilly Youth Offenders, The Parish Trust and Morgan Jones Allotments.
