External Funding Opportunity: Meithrin Natur

The National Lottery Community Fund has launched Meithrin Natur, a major funding programme aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of babies, young children, and their caregivers in Wales—by helping them connect with nature.

🌱 What’s It About?

Meithrin Natur (Welsh for Nurturing Nature) supports partnerships that:

• Create inclusive, accessible natural spaces

• Deliver nature-based early years activities

• Involve families in shaping and leading projects

• Focus on communities facing disadvantage or discrimination

💰 Funding Available

• Development Grants: Up to £25,000

• Delivery Grants: Up to £2 million over up to 6 years

📅 Deadline for Development Grant Applications:12pm, 1 December 2025

🤝 Who Can Apply?

Eligible applicants include:

• Early years organisations

• Environmental groups

• Voluntary, community, public, and private sector organisations

Projects must be based in Wales and focus on children under 5 and their caregivers.
