Family Volunteering Club is coming to Abergavenny!

We are bringing Family Volunteering Club to Monmouthshire in partnership with Monmouthshire Housing Association (MHA) and Monmouthshire County Council (MCC)! The club makes it easy for children aged 0-9 and their grown-ups to help out important causes in their local community.

"We want to help create a society in which every child grows up feeling connected to their local community, and understands the positive role they can play in helping change issues that matter to them." - Family Volunteering Club

About the programme:

  • Eight fun and impactful child-friendly volunteering sessions hosted by local charities

  • FREE

  • Suitable for ages 0 – 9, plus their grown-ups

  • Brings local families together to get hands on in their community

Timeline:

  • Sessions will take place between May and July 2024 and will be created in consultation with the local community.

  • The full programme of sessions will be announced in April 2024.

  • The Coordinator will run consultations in the local community

  • Our FVC Local Coordinator will be selected after the application closing date

  • Applications for the FVC Local Coordinator Role will close on 15th January

The programme has been funded in partnership between MCC and MHA thanks to the Levelling Up Fund.
