Postcode Community Trust is offering unrestricted, multi‑year grants of up to £50,000, spread over three years, to support good causes making a positive impact across Wales. This fund is designed to help organisations working within one of the Trust’s four thematic areas for 2026:

  • Enabling participation in the arts

  • Preventing or reducing the impact of poverty

  • Supporting marginalised groups and tackling inequality

  • Improving mental health, with a focus on organisations supporting specific mental health issues rather than general wellbeing activities

This funding is unrestricted, meaning organisations can use the grant flexibly across capital or revenue costs—provided that activities do not involve overseas work, party political activity, the promotion of religion, onward grant‑making, or the creation of reserves.

Who Can Apply

Organisations may apply for grants up to £25,000, provided they meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Registered Charities

  • Charitable Community Benefit Societies

  • Community Interest Companies (Schedule 1 and 2)

To be eligible, applicants must also have:

  • An annual income of under £1 million (preference is given to those under £250,000)

  • Not received funding from the Postcode Community Trust within the last 12 months

A full list of eligibility conditions is available in the fund’s guidance.

What the Fund Can Support

Funding can be used for a wide range of purposes, including running costs, equipment, staffing, project delivery, and organisational development.

Excluded areas include:

  • Overseas activities

  • Party political work

  • Promotion of religion

  • Onward grant‑making

  • Building up reserve funds

Funding Rounds for 2026

There are three application rounds in 2026:

  • Round 1: 9am, 23 February – 12 noon, 2 March

  • Round 2: 9am, 26 May – 12 noon, 2 June

  • Round 3: 9am, 25 August – 12 noon, 1 September

Over £3 million was awarded to organisations in Wales in 2024, demonstrating the significant impact this fund continues to have on local communities.
