Supporting Young People Across Gwent - High Sheriff's Community Fund now open

Do you run a community group in Gwent that works with young people? The Gwent High Sheriff’s Community Fund is now open for applications, offering grants of up to £7,500 – with the exciting possibility of multi-year funding.
This fund is dedicated to helping young people (aged up to 25) live safer, more positive lives. It supports grassroots projects and initiatives that:
Prevent crime and reduce risks for young people
Provide positive alternatives to antisocial behaviour
Build trust between young people, communities, and the police
📅 Key Dates to Remember:
Applications close: 4 November 2025 (midday)
Grant-making event: 21 March 2026
Applications must be submitted online. Shortlisted groups will be invited to pitch their project at the Your Voice, Your Choice community-led event in March 2026, where final funding decisions will be made.

To support applicants, two online webinars will be held to explain the fund, eligibility criteria, and the application process. Each session will last no longer than an hour:

Can’t attend live? No problem – all registrants will receive a recording and presentation slides after the session.
