Where to focus your fundraising energy

The WCVA are hosting an Open for an online event to share fundraising insights from their latest Charity Benchmarks study with the sector here in Wales.

WHAT IS CHARITY BENCHMARKS?

Charity Benchmarks gathers data from medium to large charities across the UK about their fundraising. The subsequent report examines the costs, revenues and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) behind over a billion pounds of UK fundraised income every year. The mission is to provide UK fundraisers with the information they need to make better decisions, to help raise more money and maximise the impact of their causes.

The Charity Benchmarks 2023 report was released earlier this summer and although the charities who take part in the data collection are medium to large voluntary organisations, there is much for the rest of the sector to learn from the data.

AIM OF THE EVENT

Despite a growth in fundraising income, inflation scuppered the sector’s hard work. According to the long-term data in this year’s Charity Benchmarks research, average fundraised income has actually fallen for participants in real terms over the last five years. But there is hope and opportunity, if you’re looking in the right place.

The aim of this session is to support you to identify where to focus your energy and resources when it comes to fundraising. You will find out what income stream has seen the highest growth, which channel is bringing in the most donors, what impact the continuing crises have had on fundraising performance and much more.

WHERE AND WHEN

The event will be held online on Tuesday 26 November 2024, 2 – 3 pm.

We would be delighted if you could join us at the event and hopefully take something away to support your organisations’ fundraising.
