£5,000 community pledge from Tesco & easyfundraising

Tesco and easyfundraising have come together to give a helping hand to voluntary groups, charities, and CICs working tirelessly to keep up with spiraling costs and rising demand. They will donate £1000 funding pots to 5 community organisations this October

For a chance to receive £1000 for your community organisation, follow these simple steps:

1. Firstly, register your organisation with fundraising platform easyfundraising. easyfundraising enables your community organisation to receive unrestricted funding from 8,000 leading online retailers including Tesco.

2. Then shop online at Tesco. Ask anyone who is connected to your organisation to use the easyfundraising platform to shop with Tesco. Each time one of them shops online at Tesco, your organisation will be entered into the draw to receive a £1,000 funding boost. The more people who shop online with Tesco on your behalf, the more chances your organisation has of winning.

Plus each time someone shops with Tesco, your organisation will receive £1.75. That’s £1.75 for free every time a supporter shops!

Calling all community groups in Newport! Could you benefit from trustees or skilled volunteers with marketing, business or finance expertise?

GAVO Newport is working with the University of South Wales to set up ongoing volunteering opportunities for specially selected students studying MBA Global Studies.

High-flying volunteers have been hand-picked by the University to offer community organisations a wealth of professional experience. These volunteers have worked in the field of business in their home countries for four years or more and are available for a duration of 6 -12 months. This could be an untapped resource for your group as it’s part of a rolling program.

If you would like to chat further about how you might be able to make use of this fantastic opportunity, then please contact either Sam Sims or Kelly Sullivan to find out more! To utilise this unique opportunity, please email us your expression of interest by Friday 27th October.
